We have no experience with the Gifted programs here. It is VERY difficult to get into AG programs in Ohio and NC - as I was in them, but I'm not dx autistic either.
In January, I went to our state CEC conference to get information about underrepresentation of students with Autism-PDD in gifted programs. Our state, I'm sure like many others, can't seem to figure out ways (other than the commercial tests they use) to qualify students with Autism into gifted /talented programs.
Brent Daigle talked about this at the conference -- he sent me a copy of his paper/presentation, I'm mainly interested in the experience of everyone in here? Do you know what kind of tests are used in your state (or is it like here???)
